I just realized I skipped Day 1 somehow when I began posting homework! So here is my post for

    Day 1: Yoga Fundamentals

    Seated Cat Cow

    Marjaryasana-bitilasana

Seated Cat Cow is a variation of a fundamental yoga pose called Cat Cow. It can be done from a chair if someone is unable to get down on their hands and knees or the floor. In this variation I will be doing it from Easy Pose, or sitting cross legged on the floor. This pose stretches the abdomen, back, and upper neck. It is a good heart opener.

Begin in Easy pose and place your hands onto your knees.

Inhale and arch your back. Look up with your eyes to the sky, stretching and elongating your spine.

Exhale and arch down in the other direction, bending as if a cat arches its back, bringing your shoulders up and chin down to your chest, looking down.

    Repeat 3-4 times

Great job! This is a good one for senior yoga, and can even be done in a chair. 🌟🤩
