    Neck Healing-Rabbit Pose

A lot of people are afraid to or don’t want to try yoga because of injuries they may have. Well, my trainer, Dashama, is proof that some injuries can be healed and yoga is a way that some have healed their injuries. Dashama was involved in 4 serious car accidents, and had some major trauma to her neck and spine due to those accidents. But thru yoga she was able to heal herself naturally.

This exercise is just one of many poses that can be used to strengthen your neck muscles and loosen and relieve tension built up in that area. Always take it slow, never push yourself to where you hurt yourself more. Yoga should never be painful.

    Rabbit Pose

Starting on all fours. Breath in through your nose, and as you breath out roll your shoulders forward and crouch down with your head tucked towards your abdomen, with your hands supporting behind your neck. Begin walking your head and hands closer to your knees if it’s available to you. You can even reach for your ankles for a little bit deeper stretch. Stay here for a few breaths, feeling the tension releasing more the longer you hold this posture. When you are ready to come out, walk your upper body away from your knees and roll back up onto all fours.
