From mountain pose step your foot back and into wide legged pose, hips facing long edge of mat, parallel forward, inhale and exhale feet rooted into the floor at 45 degree angle away from the mat, calves thighs and glutes engaged, knees in line with the feet, knees over ankles, lower belly engaged, drop hips down toward the floor into a half squat position, inner thighs rotating outward, pushing pelvis forward. Place hands in prayer position, pushing palms together, shoulders down and back, neck and spine lengthening, gaze forward, inhaling and exhaling for 3-5 breaths.
