From plank position, step your right leg forward between your hands.
    – Allow you left knee to meet the ground and the top of the foot to lay flat.
    – Ensure that your right knee is directly above the ankle creating a ninety degrees angel.
    – This will help protect your knee and prevent injury.
    – Radiate your hips forward. You should feel a good stretch in the left hip.

A huge tip in these hip opening positions is to remember to keep your hips square. This mean the when your hips are radiating forward the left hip isn’t opening too much to the side.

    – Actively work to pull your left hip inward and forward, to face the front of your mat.
    – Keep a straight spine and try to keep your hands on the ground. If this is too tight place some yoga blocks underneath your hands!
