HW: third eye chakra 6
Ajna – the Third Eye chakra – is the sixth chakra of the body. It is located in between the eyebrows in the centre of the head. Although we only have two eyes this chakra is considered as our « third » eye as it is related our higher, spiritual abilities. Having an open third- eye chakra enables us to see and focus more clearly, not only on ourselves, but on the presence around us. It is connected to our intuition and decision making.
As the third-eye is closely linked to our imagination and ability to focus an excessive third-eye chakra may experience hallucinations and nightmares where as a deficient chakra may display a lack of imagination and lack of vision. This means they may struggle to see what the future holds for them and they may struggle to make decisions about the future.
The colour of the third-eye chakra is INDIGO and it is deeply connected to the element of light so often meditation and visualisations of purple light especially from the third-eye will help realign the chakra and balance it. Affirmations such as « I see clearly » and « I trust in my wisdom and decisions » really help inspire confidence in someone who may experience a deficient third-eye chakra.
As the colour indigo is associated with the chakra oils such as lavender and purple gems or crystals can be great in helping to feel more connected to the chakra and open it up.
