    Tight hips. People who are Tight in their hips generally need relief given to their lower back, hamstrings & the tendons running along the base of their feet, the fascia & up the achilles tendon. Self massage or assisted massage would be super helpful to these beautiful people.
    With tight hips for someone in a foundational pose such as seated forward bend, I’d prop someone up on a bolster, block or pillow for their fold. Placing the prop under their sitbones so they gain some height for their legs to extend, also have them sit with their back to the wall as a support base, learning not to rely on the wall as they flow but instead finding their inner foundation & support here, allowing someone working on this to stay longer for their own growth. Using straps, using my own body to help get them to the edge they’re comfortable with if they need a leaning tension on them & also spreading a folded blanket across their thighs to help gently bring thighs down more easily if they like.
