Cow face pose & eagle arm variation
Sitting in easy pose, inhale back straight spine long, neck and head lifted, exhale as you cross your right leg over your left leg, knees meeting in the middle, close as you can to touching one on top of the other, breathing into the hips letting go of any tension you may feel, using the mantra “I am safe” letting your body know it is safe to feel. The further your feet are away from the body in this position the more intense the stretch can feel. Arms by your side touching the floor, engaging the abdomen inhale as you lift up both arms shoulder height crossing the right arm under the left bending the elbow and interlacing the hands into a twisted prayer position pointing the fingers up and to the sky. Continue to focus on your breathe inhaling and exhaling for 5 deep breaths releasing anything stuck or stagnant in the left shoulder. Gently and slowly release the hands and then the legs, and do the other side.
