Camel Pose
Start out in a kneeling position. Knees are hip distant apart and the tops of the feet are resting on the mat. Inhale and lengthen through the spine and being the hands to rest on the lower back with the fingers pointing up. Exhale and arch back while bringing the hips forward. The neck should be relaxed and gaze up.
For a more challenging pose grab the ankles (tucking the toes to bring the ankles up if needed) instead of resting the hands on the lower back.
A third option is to bring the hands into a prayer before arching back. Making sure to engage the core and protect the lower back.
