The Miracle Morning is a morning routine to help you start off your day connected. It is one hour long, split up into 6 different practices. This is how I start my days.
I take 10 minutes to read something inspiring. Choosing what enter our fields first thing can really set the tone for our day. If you happened to reach for your phone, it easily disconnects you from your body and mind and influences what you’re thinking and feeling, so it’s always better to choose what you are going to expose yourself to first thing. Recently, I’ve been reading the Bhagavad Gita, and it puts me in a curious, playful and light hearted mood, no matter how the previous day ended.
Next, I spend 10 minutes doing a visualization meditation. This is a new practice for me, so I often pick one I can listen too, which helps me stay in the meditation practice. Visualization meditation is a great way to get started in meditation, as it helps you settle into quieting your mind.
Occasionally after meditation I still have some things to clear from my mind so I will journal, or write out affirmations. I like to put pen to paper and just go straight without stopping. If I feel stuck I write about feeling stuck or not having anything to write about, and I always manage to put something down that helps me shift into a positive mindset and with so much clarity.
Then I settle into a yoga sequence. Sun salutations have been energizing and invigorating, and spend ten minutes doing several variations, whatever feels best for me that day.
I find a seat on my mat, and end the yoga practice with either breathwork or a mantra practice. I use this time to set my intention for the day, and to continue energizing my body.
And last but not least, I end my routine with a ten minute dance party! This brings me so much joy and let’s me celebrate life. I spend this time being grateful for my body, the way it holds me, the way it moves abs expresses itself. Dancing is so freeing and helps with embodiment and cardio.
I hope you find this inspiring and create your own morning miracle routine.
