    Pigeon pose.

One of my favorite poses as I feel so deeply in the hips.

From a lunge position shift the forward foot over and towards the opposite hip and lay it flat on the floor. The farther away you foot is from the hip, the deeper the stretch will feel.

Let the opposite leg extend towards the back of the room while keeping both hips square to the front.

Breathe in this position for some time either sitting upwards with a straight spine, or folded forward onto your crossed arms.

You may reach back and grab the extended foot with the hand on the same side. Pulling the foot towards the seat.

Remember to be mindful of your knees. If you feel any discomfort you may place a block under your groin to help support you more completely.
