    From a low lunge, send the hips back so they’re over the back knee. Spread the toes of the front (forward) foot and, flexing the foot, draw them towards the body. You should feel a big stretch in the back of the straight leg. You can either keep your hands on the mat and stay upright, OR use a couple of blocks under the hands. Another option is to use a towel or strap around the front foot to encourage the flexion of the foot. Over time you can start to lower the chest and fold over the leg.
