    My favorite class was the restorative yoga. It’s incredible how much energy, peace, balance, and strength one can gain from simply slowing down and relaxing.

    In regards to sequencing, I very much enjoyed how it flowed.

    First, the environment was created with the meditation bowl and the breath work. Next the energy was brought directionally from hi to low by giving massages to the upper body and finally laying and relaxing with gentle, slow stretches.

    I learned how the back should be really warmed up and open before any types of spinal twists. I sometimes go straight into them myself, but going forward will always warm it up, especially when teaching.

    I learned more of how to create an atmosphere of relaxation with the calm, soothing verbiage and tone of voice.

    Lastly, I liked how a detailed walk through was given so students could know where their stretch should be felt, why they may be feeling certain pains, and what daily actions may be a cause of some pains. This is a practice I will incorporate. I, myself, like to hear some background information about the asana and its relation to feelings and energy.
