HW: crown chakra 7
The final chakra in the body is the crown chakra (sahasrāra). This chakra enables the highest form of communication between us and our higher, spiritual selves. With an open crown chakra one is able to feel unity, peace and oneness which is our greatest aim in life. It is important to remember through the crown chakra that we are continually connected to the spiritual realm and therefore connected to all.
Thé crown chakra is represented by the colour VIOLET, GOLD or WHITE and is located at the very top of the head so often in pranayama and meditation one will visualise an abundance of white light radiating from the crown of the head. This can help summon feelings of inner peace and silence as you reach enlightenment.
With a balanced crown chakra you are aware of your connection to all else and you have a great ability to release negativity or anything that does not serve towards your highest potential.
To reach this state of enlightenment and balance movement is key to get the blood flowing to the top of the head so inversions are great as well as chanting « om » to raise the vibrations in the body and activate the crown chakra. Since the crown chakra is correlated to peace and silence calming oils such as lavender and jasmine are best and it is great to practice fasting – a form of spiritual nourishment.
