    Puppy Pose

    Starting on hands and knees both hip and shoulder distance apart, inhale, and as you exhale walk your hands up the mat slowly as you lower your chest down opening to the mat as low as you can. Hips are stacked above knees. Tops of feet pressing into the ground. Lengthening through the back muscles and spine, pelvis balanced, lower abdomen engaged providing stability in the core. Keep reaching the hands as far from you as possible forehead can be placed on the mat chin tucked towards chest. Shoulders lengthening pulling back and down opening to the earth, arms extended straight above head palms facing down breathing into the pose for 5 deep breaths.
