HW: Chakra Series – Solar Plexus
The third Chakra is the Solar Plexus or Manipura. It is associated with the color yellow as well as the element of fire. It begins developing at 18 months and continues through 4 years of age as we are establishing autonomy and realizing separateness. With a balanced Solar Plexus Chakra we feel reliable, responsible, confident, feel able to meet challenges, and spontaneous. Having a balanced Chakra will help us to feel powerful and capable as we move throughout the world. Shame is the challenge to this Chakra. It is helpful to me to learn about this Chakra as I can notice when I hold myself back and want to hide from shame. As I work with many different clients I know that shame is a common struggle. Being able to clear blocked energy and bring balance to this Chakra can help many people feel ‘unstuck’ and to make movement in their lives.
