    Muladhara Chakra – Our root, connection to earth, place of stability. I practice with muladhara chakra when I am feeling unbalanced, either mentally or physically. Whether in meditation, while practicing yoga or during my daily activities, I draw roots down into Mother Earth, imagining her healing, nurturing presence drawn up through my roots to bring myself back “down to earth.” This chakra is bright and deep red when clear and balanced. Red stones can be carried or charged to motivate us to ground. This chakra is also concerned with our basic survival needs, those aspects most connected to the physical universe such as food and shelter. Shavasana, or Corpse Pose, can connect you to this chakra.

    Excellent visual for grounding! A couple other poses that are good for the root Chakra are Malasana and easy pose. 🕉💖
