    After doing the bed yoga module, I found that I really liked it. I found it very relaxing and enjoyable. However, I am not surprised to find that I like it because I have been doing meditation before bed for the last 5-6 months to help me sleep. In addition, there have been times where I have done a few stretches in bed before laying down to help me relax especially on days where I am extra sore. I have always found a few stretches before bed to be very relaxing and love that I can do them in bed. I definitely want to incorporate bed yoga into my daily routine.

    I know bed yoga can be done first thing in the morning or before bed. I definitely think I get more out of it in the evening. I am not a morning person and really struggle to get going in the morning. The idea of bed yoga before starting my day sounds amazing. With that being said I really struggle to do those “extra” morning routine things. However, energizing bed yoga may be the thing that helps me get going in the morning.

    I also really love bed yoga because I know a lot of the veteran program clients we are going to see may be experiencing sleep issues or insomnia. I know meditation before going to sleep has helped me with sleep issues so it is definitely something I would suggest for clients. Being able to take that to the next level and provide them with a bed yoga routine that helps them relax physically and mentally is definitely something I think would interest them to help with their sleep. With bed yoga, it is designed for anyone to be able to do it so it may also boost their confidence and self-love because they won’t feel like they aren’t flexible or strong or advanced enough. Lastly, I love that it can be personalized to each unique individual and their situation. Bed yoga is all about what feels good and holding as long or as little as they would like so with just a few easy moves their practice can be easily extended if they are looking for a longer night time routine.
