HW: 3 stage energy detox and green smoothie cleanse
This week I’ve been trialling many yummy smoothies from the green smoothie cleanse book and have also been having a few of the recipes from the detox diet. My favourite breakfast meal option was the low fat veggie omelette:
– 3 egg whites and 1 yolk
– spinach
– tomatoes
– tenderstem broccoli
Best food to start the day, had so much energy and felt full for ages!
For the smoothies, I enjoyed most of them such as dashama’s green goodness but my fav was ‘berry-licious’: (ingredients differ slightly to accommodate what I could find in the shops)
– 1 green apple
– handful of raspberries and strawberries
– 1/2 cucumber
– 1/4 cup protein powder
– 1/4 cup chia seeds
– coconut water
– 1 lemon
– ginger
– 1/2 cup frozen açai
Would highly recommend this (even if you weren’t doing the cleanse!). So delicious and refreshing.
I sometimes struggle with just all smoothies so it was great that I could incorporate a few of the detox meals in as well. I’ve also been on holiday so the cleanse was perfect for the hot weather and feeling lighter and more energetic.
