HW: Kundalini
I have never done any Kriyas before taking this course. With that said I am definitely in the “this is miserable and so hard” stage of Kriya experience. I found this module really difficult not only physically but mentally as well. The first thing I noticed with Kriyas is that there is so much going on. With engaging the Mula Bandha and pulling the energy up, practicing fire breath, pushing through the physical pain, and repeating the mantra I felt very overwhelmed. When I would focus on the physical pain or keeping my my Mula Bandha engaged, I would forget to recite the mantra. Or I would start to focus on the breathing and relax my Mula Bandha. I didn’t ever feel that I had all four parts down at the same time. Also, I found I really struggled with the longer ones.
However, I did notice that during the Miracle of Miracles Kriya I was able to look within myself more. Having music playing in the background and being able to recite/sing the words made it easier for me to be able to look within and start to really feel the kundalini within me. I didn’t understand or remember the words but I sang along with Dashama in the video and that was really beneficial for me. In addition, I found that I made it through the Miracle of Miracles Kriya easier than the first time I did it in the meditation module earlier in the program; even though it was still difficult. I would like to try that one, or a similar Kriya with music but for a shorter amount of time.
