HW: Chakra #7 – Crown Chakra
The seventh and final chakra is the crown chakra which is located at the top of the head. The color associated with this chakra is white. This chakra offers access to higher states of consciousness as we open to what is beyond our personal thoughts and visions.
Balancing the crown chakra is important because it allows us to connect to the greatest divine and will provide the opportunity for the individual to experience enlightenment. This is where one will understand things that are deeper than their personal thoughts. Balancing the crown chakra is where one will experience the true flow state and is the highest feeling one can experience.
During a crown chakra sequence, there are a lot of poses where the head is down to the mat. These could include head stands, forearm stands, crow pose or even arm stands.
Practicing crown chakra sequences are difficult for me as I have not mastered any of the headstands, forearm stands or headstands. I feel like when I was doing the sequence I was more focused on getting my feet up and couldn’t hold it long enough to focus my attention to the crown of my head.
