HW: Neck Healing
Seated Neck OpenerIn a seated position, notice your spine and make sure it is nice and long. Inhale and bring your left arm up and over the top of your head just about right on your ear. Draw your head towards down towards your shoulder. Make sure to listen to your body here as far as how much pressure you use to stretch your neck. Notice the stretch on the right side of your neck. You can either place right hand under your hip or stretch it out to the right where you may feel even more of a stretch. Another option is to is to use your right hand and give yourself a nice massage. Using pressure can help being in new blood flow to the area and relieve some of the tension. Next move your left hand toward the back of your neck and draw your chin towards the left side of your chest. Take a few deep breaths here noticing the sensations in your neck. Take a few breaths here … and gently bring your head back to center.
