HW: Forearm Balance ( Day 22)
Dolphin Pose.
Similar to Downward Dog but with the weight travelling forward into the arms and shoulders. We need to ensure we are warm and prepared through the shoulder girdle if we are adding more weight here, and dolphin itself can be considered a preparatory pose for a full headstand. We want to focus on the heart lifting through the back body, and ensure the shoulders are not splaying out to the side. We want to maintain some lift, hasta bandha, under the hands and even press further into the pinkie finger and outer edge of the hand, all the way to the wrists for stability. The legs have the option to be slightly bent, with the sit bones rolling up to the sky.
(My shoulders are pretty tight so this is still a challenge for me!)
