HW: day 20 – Tibetan Rites
Reverse Tabletop Pose (Ardha Purvottanasana)
- Begin seated stretching the legs out in front in Staff Pose (Dandasana).
- Bring the hands to rest on the floor slightly behind you with the fingers pointing towards your hips.
- Bend your legs and bring the heels closer to your sit bones. At hip distance apart or, if comfortable, closer together.
- Slowly lock the chin to chest. Inhale, lift the hips off the floor as you push the feet and palms towards the ground. Lengthen the arms and legs to help take the hips and shoulders up.
- Inhaling, go up slowly and unlock the chin from chest and bring the head in line with the shoulders, the knees in line with the ankles, shoulders in line with the wrists.
- Once the alignment is looked into, exhale.
